Out of a slightly off-kilter view of the world and a we’ll-try-anything attitude, Focus Creeps have developed a style that defies categorization and has earned them a place among Shoot Magazine’s Top New Directors. They are self-described aesthetic sensualists whose exceptional ability to blur the line between art and commerce has made them one of the most talked about young directing duos working today. Their work possesses a kind of inelegant grace wrought from uncontrived candor and fearless abandon. It is raw, beautiful, unpredictable and utterly spontaneous. Hence the name, Focus Creeps, a reference to their insatiable need to never miss an opportunity. Never cut too soon. It has meant many late nights and miles of footage. But they wouldn’t have it any other way. They are completely dedicated to their craft, sleeping when they can and spending the rest of their time chasing the light. Like many of the bands they shoot, Focus Creeps are on the verge of breaking out, already taking on larger, more mainstream projects, but still deliriously in love with the work that earned them their initial acclaim. Able to pull out all the seductive charms of polished production, but still screwing convention.
