Recently I was reminded of the wonderful years I spent at Geffen Records in the late '80's and early 90's by the untimely passing of one of our colleagues. The tributes were repeated over and over again on Facebook by all of the different folks that made up the Geffen Records family who even keeps an alumni facebook page - "Employees of Geffen Records and DGC Records from 1980 to 1999."  I worked at Geffen for seven years before I got drawn into the movie business.  But all of those people who came and went before and after me - whether chasing a dream -  having a baby or thirsting for change have all stayed in touch.  And still deeply care about one another.  Many had their careers there for the entire life of the company
 We have experienced a lot of changes at Foundation the past year.  Several people have left, new people have joined and some people have been there from the beginning.  But at least one guy has come back!  Proof that once you have given so much of yourself to a company you will always have those that you were in the trenches with - gutting it out day after day - you will always have those people in your life and in your heart.  They will always be touch stones.  

Life changes.  Time rearranges.  But relationships endure.  We salute every person who has ever given of themselves to make Foundation a better place.  There will always be changes.  But at the heart of our company, we deeply care about the people who have given so much of themselves to try and make Foundation the best it can be.

We care sincerely.  About people. About embracing change. About creating great work.  And making a difference.  

Maybe we'll start a Foundation Alumni page once we've reached our tenth.   Now entering 8th year in business it seems an attainable goal.
